Hi friends,
did we ever wish you a happy "new" year so early?
We hope you all are fine and you still love hard rock, cool melodies, sympathetic lunatics and are looking forward to ...new Châlice songs!
We´ve just received the confirmation to play some shows with our "old" buddies of Uriah Heep, and of course we are proud and happy to do this! We want everyone of you to be there, these guys are still so damned good! And Uriah Heep, too, of course... ;o)
Apart from this, we´ll have our traditional little party to start the year (you think it´s too late? Come on, the year is not so old yet!) that replaced our traditional little Christmas party and will take place in the Prinzenbar, followed by an aftershow party at Zwick 2. And also in this year we´ll visit the wonderful Bootstation in Bad Fallingbostel again!
So there will be lots of chances for you and us to celebrate together. We´re looking forward to each show and will finally present the greatest songs from the forthcoming new album "already".

Hi friends,
after thousands of news during the last year and in the beginning of this year, we decided to give you a short break, a little bit of rest from the sympathetic word-terrorists. And, did you enjoy it? As we're always talking about us, we think you could as well tell us how YOU are...
ok, but for now back to us.
What were we doing while the months passed by?
Hey, we were moving again! Parts of us in private life, too, and not only once (it's enough now, Oli, please give us some days to recover...)
But, above all, the band now has its home on Finkenwerder, near the famous Speeldeel. Very inspiring, especially for them. It seems as if they already sound much heavier!
Then, of course, we had to argue with the Spanish parts of our families whether the World Championship was won by the right team. And, to all our English friends, we KNOW it was a goal....sorry!
well, all this took a lot of time, but nevertheless we found some minutes to do what we are always doing: writing and arranging songs for CD number 7. Let's see which ones of the 120 songs make it to the album that we want to finish this year and present it on a little tour probably at the end of 2010.
And to prevent you from forgetting us and to prevent us from forgetting how it works, we finally will be playing a show again!
On August 21, we will visit Paul and Susy at their wonderful Bootstation in Bad Fallingbostel again. Those of you who have already been there know, this is a wonderful location directly by the water-side, easily to be reached by boat. The adress is Soltauer Str. 6, 29683 Fallingbostel and we will start at about 19:00.
We'll be playing a lot of acoustic stuff, but when the dawn is rising and the lights go on, there will be pure hard rock as well.
You can get the tickets there for 12,50 EUR, but because it's YOU, we sell them for lousy 10 EUR. Just send an e-mail to info@chalice.de and order as many as possible. We send you an e-mail back with our bank-account and you remit the money. We deposit the tickets for you at the cash-desk.
Ok, so come on and spent a hot rock'n' roll day/night with us! We're looking forward to seeing you!

Yes, you read it … leaves start falling from the trees and we can go on a little tour around Germany and Spain. Warming up with our friends from DORO, before we start gigging through the countries with US platinum rockers from TESLA. 4) Châlice on Video
As most of you already know, we did not only deliver new stuff for your ears, but this time we also try to catch your eye!
So, according to our social status, we bought (or did we just rent?) a stretch-limousine some nights ago, and were shooting the absolute decadent video for the first single, "Hollywood Daze".
It was, by the way, one of the greatest experiences this band has ever made, and we wish to give millions of thanx to everybody who took part in this thing, mostly of course to those who gave us a welcome on the St. Pauli Reeperbahn that Tokio Hotel can only dream of... you’re the Greatest, and we’re very proud of having fans like YOU!
Alright, that’s it for the moment. Now get yourself "BARE" and already invite some friends. See you at (your) home!

We did it: The video for the single "Hollywood Daze" has been shot after a very long night. We are waiting now for the final cut. We hope that we can present our masterpiece in the mid of July on MySpace, amongst others.
A big THANX and a huge praise to all the assistants, directors of photography, "Groupies", extras and of course the director – who accompanied us through the night, always unshaken. YOU ROCK!

This Friday, 22.06., our video for the track ‚Hollywood Daze’ will be recorded in the streets of Hamburg.
The track will be the first single of our new album called ‚Bare’, that will be released on Rockphone Records on the 10th of August.
Showbiz with big limousines and pretty girls, and a big dose of irony will control the Reeperbahn that night.
If you want to be part of it and want to give the video a little light with the appearance of your face, don’t hesitate to compete for a part as an extra in this video.

We hope you had a nice Easter, found all the eggs and are now ready for a real special present: We, the incredibly hard rockin' Châlice-Boys, have really done it:
After many of you people (probably especially YOU!) have always been begging us to make an acoustic CD finally, because you somehow seemed to like our instore-gigs and our little acoustic-parts during our shows, we decided, having said "no" for only some years, to surrender in the end. As we always say, it's YOU who keep this thing going, so who are we to ignore this little wish?
Alright, so what have we done on a wonderful weekend in March? We packed our acoustic guitars, our little piano and some nice percussion-toys together, entered the HASTINGS-studio in Hamburg and simply started playing, unable to stop for hours and hours. We were wandering through our own history, and songs that you already might have heard from us, have shown a pretty different character, mostly to our own surprise. Definitely Châlice, but definitely totally different! Oskar, the sound engineer, recorded everything with sensitive ears and fingers, and we decorated the whole thing with a nice little brass section (ok ok, we were very lucky to know two fantastic musicians who blew their souls away for us...thank you Miriam, thank you Rolf!).
The album is being mixed in these minutes by the best of the best, Mr. Dennis Ward, who already ennobled most of the original songs.
Ok, what else do we need?
Exactly, lots of bonus tracks, and that's why we present nearly everything here which we recorded earlier in the "acoustic style", so you will find almost forgotten pearls like "My own Paradise" or the almost-smash-hit "Hold on to the Years" and many more...and of course there's no Châlice-CD without at least one brandnew song! We're curious if you find out which one it is!
The album will be called "BARE" because we present ourselves undone, vulnerable and naked (however, we refrained from taking our clothes off for the photos... believe us, it's better this way!), it will be released on a brandnew label, and the details like exact release-date, price etc. are being discussed at the moment. Besides we're planning to go on stage with this new baby, but it is not completely impossible that there might be some electric guitars with us on stage:-)
Alright, we hope we have already made you a little bit curious by now. We'll be back soon with the last details, and you can already look forward to an extra-surprise for the truest and fastest among you!
